What makes Bambini different from other child care programs?
Bambini is a holistic child care program. We believe in nurturing the whole child while supporting parents/guardians in their childrearing roles. Yoga, meditation, mindfulness, nature appreciation, emotion coaching, and effective communication are vital components of your child’s Bambini experience.
We are a Reggio-inspired program which is a multi-faceted approach to care. You can read more about Reggio-inspired child care on our Bambini website.
We create beautiful and inspiring environments for our families - but outside of aesthetics, families choose Bambini for many reasons. We invite you to read the top ten reasons families choose Bambini as their child’s early learning program.
Do you transport children to and from school?
Our Bambini centres drive children to and from various local schools. Please ask a Bambini manager for more information and to verify if we service your child’s school.
What food / meals do you provide?
A lunch and two snacks are offered during the day. The menu is created by a nutritionist and meals are prepared by our own in-house chef. Meals are included in your child care fees.
Please note that families will need to provide their own formula / bottles for their infant but our educators will gladly prepare formula and bottles for you.
Do you accept part-time care?
Yes. Part-time care is available when we have the capacity in the program. Please speak to one of our Bambini managers to see if we can accommodate your part-time care needs.
Do you offer drop-in care?
We do offer drop-in care IF there is availability! Reach out to the centre you’re interested in for more information.
What are your fees?
Please call or email the centre the centre you’re interested in (contact information is listed above) for information about our child care fees. Fees vary depending on the age of the children and the number of children in a family.
Do you accept subsidy?
Yes. It is the parent’s responsibility to apply for subsidy and provide us with the details, so we charge the correct parent portion of the fees. Subsidy must be processed and ready before the child’s start date.
Information on how to apply for subsidy (and the required application forms) can be found on the Government of Alberta website.
How do I enroll my child(ren)?
Upon registration, a non-refundable administrative fee of $150 is due and payable for each child that is registered.
To enroll your child in a program at Bambini, you will be required to pay a deposit of $300 per child. This deposit is refundable as long as a parent gives 30 day written notice of withdrawal from the Bambini program. The deposit is refunded as a credit towards your final month of child care fees.
Once the registration fee and deposit are paid, and the confirmed start date is set, the child is considered registered. The day your child(ren) start attending Bambini, your child will be considered enrolled.
Will you help my child with toilet learning?
Each child is unique and develops at their own pace. Bambini will work in partnership with families to support children through the toilet learning process. We have a toilet learning handout for families to reference and our Bambini professionals will gladly address any questions you may have.
Do the children go outside every day?
Bambini believes that physical activity, as well as fresh air are vital components to your child’s health and well-being. We participate in outdoor activities 1-2 times per day (weather permitting).
We have extreme weather/environment policies which may impact our ability to go outside (air pollution, extreme cold, high wind gusts, storms, etc.).
Is your environment inclusive?
Bambini is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive environment for children, staff, and families.
Children who require extra assistance to be integrated into the program will be supported in the centre to the best of Bambini’s abilities.
Children and families not will be denied enrollment based on their race, gender, religion, marital status, national origin, political beliefs, abilities, etc. We strive to have a centre that celebrates multiculturalism and inclusiveness.
What should I bring for my child’s first day at Bambini?
